Welcome to our Reception Class

Our Reception class have been having lots of fun whilst also working hard this term.

The children are developing their skills so that they can work and play: with an adult, independently or with a partner. Taking turns and sharing are really important skills!

We are also learning how to look and listen carefully so that we can develop our phonic skills - some of us are already blending sounds to read words!

Our classroom is organised so that there is a mixture of challenges, directed tasks and free play activities and we can now work and play in these areas with or without an adult. These small areas help us to work with concentration either on our own or with a friend.
