Danube

Danube - Year Three

In Danube class we are continuing our Stone Age to Iron Age topic, we will be starting some drama workshops related to the text 'Stone Age Boy,' starting next week.

We will be focused on instructional writing for the next few weeks whilst finishing off our Year three grammar.

In Maths we have started our unit on time and next we will be exploring shape.

We are learning about light in Science, thinking about how shadows are formed and how they change across the day.

It is really important that we all work hard to improve our instant recall of times-tables facts – some of us are really fast now and some of us need a lot more practice.  By the end of year 3 we ALL need to confident and quick when recalling our 2,5,10,3 and 6 times tables and associated division facts.

It is also important that we are all reading at home everyday and returning our book bags every Monday so that we can change our books – we are often bottom of the school leader board for the number of children who bring book bags back! I am sure we can do much better.

Books we WILL BE reading in YEAR THREE:
