Computing in Year 1

Children in Year 1 have been coming to the ICT suite to learn to use the computers. The first thing to learn was how to use a mouse to select and move objects on the screen. Many pupils have never used a mouse before but with some practice they could soon developed the skill to move, click and drag objects accurately.
To continue to practicing their mouse control skills the children have been completing online interactive Maths activities. Back in the classroom the children use laptops to practice the skills they have learnt in the ICT suite.
Our next challenge is to use our mouse control skill to create pictures on the computer. We will let you know how we are getting on!
