PE (Physical Education) & Physical Activity
“One should just be able to play a perfect game.”
Physical Education at White Laith enables our pupils to develop a deeper understanding of themselves as learners and movers. Through a broad and inclusive curriculum, pupils explore their capabilities, recognise their potential and learn to respond positively to challenge. Our holistic approach encourages children to think creatively, solve problems and take appropriate risks in a supportive environment. By developing fundamental movement skills alongside personal, social, creative and cognitive skills, pupils build resilience, confidence and a belief in their own ability. These positive experiences help children believe in themselves and inspire a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity and healthy, active living.
“There is a vast range of sports and activities included in PE lessons and after school clubs. The coordinator demonstrates an outstanding commitment to ensure that all pupils are given the opportunities and encouragement to be active.” (Healthy Schools Audit January 2020)
