30 hours free childcare for eligible children.

We also offer 30 hours free childcare for all eligible children.

So what is the free 30 hour childcare deal?

In a nutshell, many working parents of 3 to 4-year-olds in England will be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare - rather than the current 15 hours. This is 30 hours free for 38 weeks per year - not 52 weeks of the year. It's basically equivalent to school term times

Will my child get it?

Not everyone is eligible - the extra 15 hours are only available to working parents who work more than 16 hours a week and earn under £100,000 per year. This is different to the current free childcare scheme which is open to everyone.

So, to be eligible for 30 hours free childcare:

·         Your child will be aged 3 or 4 when the scheme starts in your area

·         You'll work more than 16 hours per week (Both parents must work if in a 2 parent family.)

·         You'll have an annual income of less than £100,000

·         You'll live in England

How to register?

To receive the FEEE Additional Entitlement for your child you must apply for a voucher code via the HMRC’s childcare service. This can be accessed via https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/.

Please let us know if you think you would qualify and would be interested in taking up the offer for your child - just ring the School Office on 2930280 or email john.barker@whitelaith.leeds.sch.uk.
